What software do I need to read the pdo and blender files, my computer isn't able to open them and what it could open was really small. Panic!

PDO files are Pepakura Data Object files and the viewer can be downloaded from [link]

Blender can be downloaded from [link]

Relax, remember, this is for your enjoyment.

PD. I don't know what are you refering as "small", the guide size is just a little bit bigger than a CD case.
