Tony Stark mask by ScannerJOE Tony Stark mask by ScannerJOE
Recently i modeled a human head for a commision (that i'll show you in two months) and yesterday i woke up with this idea, "¿why not to model a Tony Stark mask?, ¿Wouldn't it be a great gift for RDJ and IRONMAN fans?", well voala, here it is, enjoy it!.

You can find all the files at [link] including blender, PaintDot Net, LOOXIS and PDF versions.

Right now i don't have time to build it, so don't expect any photo of it until November.

I don't know Facegen, in LOOXIS Faceworx you can export to OBJ format.

Anyway, you need to use a very low detailed mesh, Faceworx has an option for it.

Then i use blender to transform triangles to quads, that make an even simpler model.

Good luck!

Hi, great work. I'm new to 3D and I'm planning to start to make my own head for halloween. What is the good way to start? Here is my plan
1. Take picture of my face (Front and 2 sides)
2. use facegen to generate a 3ds? (Or makehuman?, or any free software? or 30 days trial version?)
3. Clean up in Blender and export to pepakura.

Is it the right approach?
Thanks,

Yep that's the approach althought i didn't knew about this Facegen you mention, i recommend LOOXIS Faceworkx, it will do the job and you can export to OBJ for free.

you should make a high poly version by using blenders sculpting system or sculptris then take a normal map out of the high poly version and apply it to the low poly.

Well it'll be simpler to export the high-detailed version from Faceworx, but then it could be harder to build in pepakura. The Faceworx's file is in there if you want to export it.

hmm.. never used Pepakura or Faceworxs. Are they more sculpting or more modeling as a program?
